Institution integrates cross-cutting issues relevant to Professional Ethics, Gender, Human Values, Environment and Sustainability, and Human Values into the curriculum

Curriculum designed ensures that students are sensitized to the various societal issues related to gender, professional ethics, human values, environment and sustainability.  The curriculum is aligned with the target for contributing towards UNSDGs. With the implementation of NEP 2020 from the academic year 2023-2024.

  • The cross-cutting issues are embedded in the core courses, value added courses,
  • There is a dedicated course in environmental studies offered at first year level across all programs under VEC. They also address UNSDGs 6,7, 12, 13,14,15
  • There are topics in various courses which address issues of environment and sustainability. Some of them are green computing, green chemistry, waste management, environment impact analysis, phytoremediation, ecosystems, biodiversity conservation addressing SDG goals 6,7, 12, 13,14,15
  • The curriculum in arts and commerce Open electives under NEP offers courses in Gender, human rights.
  • Courses in Business Ethics, Organizational behavior addresses issues of professional ethics UNSDG16.
  • There is a policy for Human values and Professional Ethics. In addition the human value cell conducts programs to foster honesty, integrity, empathy, sympathy. These  values are also reflected in the Program Outcomes of the curriculum.
  • Students do projects on sustainability to ensure sustainable production and consumption UNSDG12.

The college has signed the UNSDG accord.
