XXX Dr D V Amonkar Memorial Intercollegiate Elocution Competition 2024-2025

Attention to all wordsmiths, visual artists, and digital wizards! The time has come to demonstrate your presentation prowess in the ultimate creative clash – the Elocution Competition.

The Department of Biological Sciences of our College like every year is organising XXX Dr. D. V. Amonkar Memorial Intercollegiate Elocution Competition.

Preliminary Elimination round(s) on 10 August 2024 and Semi-final round(s) on 17 August 2024 for this year will be held online. The mode of conduct of the final round to be held on 24th August 2024 offline will be conducted on campus.

Eligibility

  • Undergraduate and Post-graduate Science students of Mumbai University only.
  • This year outgoing final year students of both UG and PG of academic year 2024-2025 are also eligible to take part in the competition.

Requirements

Given that the elocution rounds will take place online, participants are expected to have access to reliable internet, a desktop or laptop, and a basic familiarity with online conferencing procedures.

Note

  1. The Preliminary Elimination round(s) and Semi-final round(s) will be held online. 
  2. Presentation duration will be for 10-12 minutes only.
  3. The registered participant will be required to give his/ her talk along with simultaneous sharing of his/her PowerPoint presentation from their computer through the prior mentioned video conferencing app (Google meet) on the day of the round.
  4. The link/ mode for the video conferencing along with required meeting ID and password with be intimated to the participants via WhatsApp 1 day prior to the presentation date.
  5. Participants shall login to the online at least 15 minutes before the start of the Round so as to get familiarised with the settings, give their attendance and obtain their order of turn for their presentation.
  6. Appointed judges will be judging the presentations online.
  7. Other instructions shall be intimated to the registered participants after the end of registration date.
  8. The last date for registration for the competition is 01st August 2024.
  9. Registered participants who will give their presentation will receive their participation certificate (E- certificate) on or after 24th August 2024.
  10. Winners will be handed over or posted their certificate in physical form along with their prize.
